Yeah, but that is gone if you literally forget it.
Problem is you need a way to decrypt that shit with memory loss and a burned down house.
I recently started a “backup ring” with my buddies who have their own servers too. It’s just folders synced over sync thing, each has their own folder, and we put stuff there that we want to access even in case everything I own burns out. Works pretty well so far.
If you want DNS only in your LAN, you need to self host a DNS server and register this domain locally (by putting it in some config file of yours)
Audiobookshelf is insanely good. It’s almost a perfect application. Seemingly it does ebooks too, but I haven’t used that yet.
No problem at all with Gboard for me. In fact, it’s the only one that can consistently do both German and Japanese for me.
The interesting thing about EVE is that the economy is completely player driven. That means you can even sell PLEX (Im pretty sure I got my name before eve named their money that, and I definitely didn’t know EVE back then!) and therefore even buy PLEX with in-game resources you ‘worked’ for.
Because of that, I agree that EVE is a special case. If that PLEX currency did not exist to be bought with real money, that means that the in-game items are no longer able to be traded for essentially real money. Though perhaps there is some smart way to do it better and with less real world capitalism
Just use the god damn browser
TeamSpeak exists too
Debian ist so amazing. And if you want to make the “but packages old” argument, you may be interested in just using Debian testing, which has all the new stuff. The freeze was recently announced for this year too, so testing is rather stable right now.
I like kitty already.
Something to please consider is support for IME, so that you can input languages like Japanese and Chinese properly.
I’m usually in the camp that people should just speak as they like, but using they is just a really natural thing and non invasive in the English language. That’s a change that makes sense. They in this position might also refer to an organization, it Abstracts the entity using the thing away, which makes sense.
Would make a good copypasta
I don’t want to defend Israel, but their current war is a defensive one, no?
I use synphonium with my jellying server, works just fine.

Stellaris is one of my all time favorite games, but the late game really becomes unplayable from lag. I have over 1000 hours in it because I love it’s modding and the immersion possible with it, but the performance is a real problem.
They have tried to address this too, with minor success, but that doesn’t help when the start of each month from 2350 onwards takes seconds to load.
X11 is the display server. Your desktop environment, like gnome, has a window manager managing your opened applications and tells the display server “please render this stuff on the actual screen”.
X11 is ancient and sucks, because for example, it can’t do fractional scaling well, which is important for screens that have a higher resolution, since everything appears tiny otherwise.
The display server also offers some functionalities that the desktop environment can make use of, like global hotkeys, or screen sharing.
I’m not an expert or anything, but I think it’s about right like this.
